On December 7, 2024, we celebrated our 13th Annual Angels in Action Gala at the Hilton Hotel in Toronto, and it was truly an unforgettable evening! Thanks to the generous support of our Angel Sponsors, attendees, volunteers, and all those involved, we were able to raise an incredible $85,000 to support women and children transitioning from poverty to self-independence through the New Beginnings Support Program (NBSP).
This year’s Gala was more than just a fundraiser – it was a powerful night of empowerment, inspiration, and transformation. Attendees were treated to a moving program, including heartfelt speeches, a fundraising auction featuring exclusive items, and live performances that showcased the strength and resilience of our community. Our program also featured inspiring stories from the women we serve, reminding us of the significant difference community support can make.
Throughout the evening, Mandi Gosling, our talented host, truly shone. Mandi brought her warmth, energy, and passion to the stage, leading the live auction with exceptional grace and engaging the audience in a meaningful way. Her dedication and enthusiasm were felt by all, and she played a crucial role in the success of the event. Our live auction was a highlight of the evening, with exciting items up for bid, all contributing to raising vital funds for our programs.
Our event kicked off with an inspiring welcome from MPP Kristyn Wong-Tam and was followed by a dynamic speech from Stephen Shea, our Board Chair. We were also honored to hear from Patricia Bebia, our powerful keynote speaker. Patricia’s speech was filled with wisdom and inspiration, reminding us all of the strength and potential within every woman.
We are also thrilled to announce that the silent auction raised funds that will go directly towards empowering women in our Business Office Coordinator Certificate program at Humber College, which equips them with the skills to secure better-paying jobs and break the cycle of poverty.
Our Gala would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our sponsors and partners. A heartfelt thank you goes out to:
