10th Annual Prosperity Ball

New Beginnings Support Program will be hosting its 10th Annual Prosperity Ball – Night of Diamonds on Saturday November 10, 2018 at the Royal York Hotel.

We are honoured to have as our Host for the evening, the incomparable Amanda Lang. Internationally recognized Canadian Business Journalist, Best-Selling Author, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, Amanda believes giving back is a necessity to improving the lives of those in need.

Our black tie event will begin with a cocktail reception. Up to 350 guests will have a chance to mingle with media personalities, business and community leaders from across the GTA, as well as bid on items from our silent auction.

Guests will then be served a three course dinner, and the night will continue with entertainment, unexpected surprises and a chance to dust off your dancing shoes!

Guests will also enjoy an assortment of complimentary wine, beer and a signature drink.

About our Host:

Internationally recognized Canadian Business Journalist, Best-Selling Author, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, Amanda believes giving back is a necessity to improving the lives of those in need. The field of her study was way different from the career she chose, but due to her talent and her hard work, she excelled in the field of journalism, starting her career in this field from The Globe and Mail in the InfoGlobe unit.

She also worked at the National Post as the New York correspondent. She joined with CNN in New York and reported on the New York stock exchange for America Morning and the financial program of CNN called CNNfn.

She came home to Canada and worked for the Business News Network as an anchor. She eventually joined CBS Network as the popular co-anchor for The Lang & O’Leary Exchange alongside Kevin O’Leary.

She currently is the host of the BNN/Bloomberg Network.

As a best selling author, she leads her wisdom through her books. Her first book – The Power of Why: Simple Questions That Lead To Success – was published in 2012, and did very well. Her latest book – The Beauty of Discomfort: How What We Avoid is What We Need – encourages people to do what is necessary despite their fear. This book has sparked a new kind of enthusiasm for people looking to move forward in their lives.
